This bi-monthly process provides the most flexible funding opportunities for grantees, intended to assist with emerging needs or one-time costs. These include: purchases for program or service delivery enhancement, modest capital improvements, and upgrades to technology.
**Religious organizations may apply for funding consideration through this process.
- Deadline: last Wednesday of (even) months by noon
- Decision Notification: proceeding month
- Request Range: up to $4,000
- Organizations limited to two requests per year
Supporting documentation for expenses is required as part of the application process; you must provide more than one estimate, quote, bid or other documentation to demonstrate where items have been priced from. Also it is preferred that you do not price pre-owned, refurbished or used options for equipment or technology needs.
Review Process: Applicants should anticipate receiving a phone call or email from a community volunteer to discuss their request and ask additional questions. The volunteer will then present the request to a standing grant review committee for funding consideration. The committee presents funding recommendations to the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation Board of Directors for final approval.
Types of Requests: All requests must be charitable in nature as defined by the I.R.S. and contribute directly to the mission of the applicant.
What can I NOT apply for?
Requests will not be considered for consumable items (food, t-shirts, backpacks, giveaway items or trophies), one time trips or events, purchases or programs that have already occurred, political purposes, lobbying activities, endowments or annual campaigns.
*The Chautauqua Region Community Foundation reserves the right, at any time and in its sole discretion, to decline a grant request that could be viewed as having a specific political, partisan or religious agenda.
