The Chautauqua Region Community Foundation annually awards over $1.5 million through responsive grantmaking across the region.
The Community Foundation hosts several grant opportunities, an overview of each can be found below. Please click through to access more information including criteria and eligibility.
Nonprofit 501 (c) (3) organizations located in or serving Southern Chautauqua County, municipalities, and school districts (for broad public benefit) and faith-based organizations are eligible to apply. Organizations are eligible to apply to more than one application for different projects throughout the year.
All grant applications are reviewed by community volunteers and the Foundation’s Board of Directors.
Type: Emerging Needs and One-Time Costs
Deadline: Bi-monthly; last Wednesday of even months
Range: Up to $4,000
*Faith-based Organizations: may apply for funding through this opportunity.
Type: Programming and Capital Improvement Projects
Deadline: March 1, September 1
Range: Up to $20,000
Type: Large-scale Programming and Capital Projects
Deadline: Pre-applications due Dec 1, June 1
Full applications are by invitation
Range: Over $20,000
Type: Located in or serving the geographic communities of the Falconer Region (Falconer, Kennedy, Ellington) or Randolph.
Deadline: March 1
Range: Up to $2,000
Geographic Area: 501 (c) (3) organizations located in or serving Southern Chautauqua County. Some grant funding is also made to municipalities, school districts (for public purposes) and faith-based organizations.
