This grant is unrestricted in nature – meaning that the funds for this grants process may be used to benefit a wide variety of charitable projects or needs. Applications are carefully reviewed by a volunteer committee of community members and recommendations are made to the Board of Directors for the final approval. These grants are made possible through the generosity of the John Edward McLaughlin family or those who have contributed to the John Edward McLaughlin Family Fund.
Application Deadline: April 15
Geographic Scope: Projects that demonstrate a definite benefit to Randolph, NY.
Religious Projects: Organizations with a religious affiliation may apply for this grant.
Award Amounts: Project whose funding needs are in the $200 – $1,000 range.
Exclusions: Grants are not made for political purposes or to retire indebtedness of an organization.
Eligibility: 501 (c) 3 status
The Chautauqua Region Community Foundation accepts John Edward McLaughlin Family Fund Grant applications by April 15 annually. The Grants Committee may interview applicants. The Grants Committee presents a recommendation on all completed applications to the Board of Directors within three months of submission.
Grant Final Reports
As specified in the Grant Agreement, it is a condition of all Community Foundation grants that Final Reports are required within 30 days of completion of the project or program. If the applicant has previously received funding from this particular grant process, the Final Report for that project must have been completed/filed.
