Request will be considered for events, festivals or activities that inspire community pride, celebrate heritage or culture, attract visitors or create economic impact.
Applications are carefully reviewed by a committee and recommendations are made to the Board of Directors for the final approval.
Application Deadline: March 1, August 1.
Request Range: $500- $2,000
Geographic Scope: Southern Chautauqua Region.
Exclusions: Grants are not made for political purposes, to retire indebtedness of an organization, or for religious activities. Requests will not be considered for organizational fundraisers.
Eligibility: 501 (c) 3 organizations and municipalities.
The Chautauqua Region Community Foundation accepts Celebrate CHQ grant requests twice a year, March 1 and August 1. Requests will be reviewed by a committee that will present a recommendation on all completed applications to the Board of Directors.
Grant Final Reports
As specified in the Grant Agreement, it is a condition of all Community Foundation grants that Final Reports are required within 30 days of completion of the project or program. If the applicant has previously received funding from this particular grant process, the Final Report for that project must have been completed/filed.
